Last month, we organised this event for the organisation who is leading the way towards a healthier and more sustainable future: C40 Cities. The company was interested and excited to work using oriental techniques to teach, engage and inspire. The 50 participants gathered to learn and get hands on exposure to oriental cuisine. They worked in teams guided by chefs, who were experts  in Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines.

We provided them with a fun-filled time where each team had to develop starters, main courses and desserts within a given timeframe. Highlights were:

  • The making of dumplings from scratch with Christina Ng from East Meets Kitchen
  • The rolling of perfect autumn rolls with Kieumy from BOM
  • The cooking of a delicious Vietnamese curry with Ross Jones from Seven Cherries Catering
  • Korean sweet potato noodles with Ellie from BOM

All the recipes, packed with seasonal vegetables, were suitable to vegans.

At the end of the team building, each team had been able to cook a different starter, main and dessert and received a mark from the chefs who mark them according to different criterias: organisation, cleanliness, presentation and taste.

The team building ended around a buffet style lunch where everyone could taste all the dishes cooked in the morning where a prize was given to the winning team.
