This haven of peace, far from the fuss of the centre of London offers a complete relaxation in a very original place. A tranquil oasis and a seedbed of inspiration, a place of calm, in tune with nature and positive living.
For the record: Threatened with destruction, this nursery opened in the 70’s found a buyer in 2000. Gael & Franscesco a passionate couple of horticulture and enchanted by this magical garden, bought the place, began the titanic work and made it in 2005 a friendly and enchantereque space.
This venue is simply ideal if you are looking to organise an unusual and original lunch or a gala dinner. This greenhouse with its unique atmosphere can only please everyone!
Indian shutters, French tables, handmade chairs, Italian chandeliers and seats amongst the plants, create an undeniably magical setting.
In this exceptional green decor, invite your guests to dine amongst flowers and plants at antique tables in the main glasshouse and enjoy season, produce led cooking in summer or winter.
Holder of a Michelin star, you can sample a seasonal and organic cuisine, where the products could not be more fresh, many ingredients coming straight from the neighbouring garden.
The menus are put together using only the best and most carefully sourced ingredients supplemented with edible flowers, herbs and heritage vegetable varieties from the Petersham House Walled Kitchen Garden.
Truly unique place, the Petersham Nurseries is the kind of restaurant where you will see the chef going out of the kitchen to gather some herbs from the garden, and where the house lemonade is above the Pinot Noir on the list of beverages.
The Glasshouse restaurant can be exclusively hire for up to 120 people. During the summer months, if the weather permits, we are able to move your event outside to dine al fresco, for a reception for up to 100 people.
You can, if you wish to enjoy a lunch in the summer use the outdoor area or have a dinner under the veranda at Christmas time and marvel at the many unique and original illuminations of the Nursery.
The talented in-house florists are able to consult on ower arrangements, helping you envision and create the most perfect seasonal displays and table décor to complement the natural beauty of your event.

The Petersham Nursery also invites you to enjoy the traditional Afternoon Tea, with its various cakes, biscuits and tea meticulously selected in the garden.
- The Glasshouse does not hold a music license, however they allow acoustic music with no amplification
- Dance floor are not something they offer at Petersham Nurseries.
Note that we can also organise lunch and dinner for smaller parties of 10 up to 20 guests.
